SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 4, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Commercial illustrator Tim A. Davis has been recognized as a VIP member of Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in watercolor artwork.

Now celebrating his 20th year in the industry, Tim A. Davis began creating art at the age of three. Inspired by his father who was also an artist, Tim pursued his formal training at East Texas State University where he received the Best Freshman Design Award, San Francisco State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in illustration and fine arts, and California College of Arts and Crafts. During this primary period, he was named runner-up in Gilbert Paper Company's Letterhead Competition, and learned about contemporary book illustration and the communication of art using different images, and in many mediums, to create commercial art. He found his strength lay in the watercolor medium. Later, he discovered he could heighten his unique and contemporary watercolor expression by using the space around the painting to convey an additional affect.

Tim A. Davis' clients include Tikkun Magazine in San Francisco, Parabola Magazine in New York, Bernal Beast in San Francisco, Image Magazine in Philadelphia, and many others. Tim also has exhibited and sold his art in many shows in San Francisco. He attributes his career success to hard work and determination and hopes to expand his fine art portfolio and publish a children's book.
